Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of the cafe, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all health, safety, and food safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Manage inventory levels, placing orders, and tracking supplies to avoid shortages or waste.
  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen employees.
    • Develop and schedule staff rosters to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback, motivation, and guidance for career development.
  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure an excellent customer experience by addressing customer concerns, handling complaints, and monitoring service quality.
    • Foster a positive, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for both customers and staff.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and manage the cafe's budget, including payroll, ordering, and operational costs.
    • Prepare and review financial reports, track sales, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
    • Ensure cash handling and financial transactions are accurate.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Work with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
    • Organize events or special promotions to attract new customers and retain loyal ones.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure the quality of food and drinks meets the standards set by Miss J's Cafe.
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cafe to create a pleasant environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the owner to achieve business goals, resolve issues, and implement new strategies.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a General Manager, Cafe Manager, or similar role.
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to manage finances, budgets, and financial reports.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
    • Passion for coffee and food industry trends.

    Education and Experience:

    • A degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
    • At least 3-5 years of management experience in a cafe or food service environment
