MHS is seeking married couples to take on the rewarding role of flex houseparents. As flex houseparents, you will reside on-campus in a student home, offering guidance and nurturing to a group of approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include driving, administering medication, managing budgets, and ensuring a consistent family-like structure for the students. Initially, you'll have the opportunity to work in various student homes before being assigned to one specific home.

Qualifications

  • Experience working or volunteering with youth, especially from underserved backgrounds is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of legal marriage and both partners aged 27 or older.
  • Limited to three dependent children residing in the student home.
  • Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free environment with no alcohol consumption while on duty.
  • Pet restrictions allow only fish and one dog of approved breeds.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and the ability to become certified to drive student vans.
  • Comfortable leading daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services, with a non-proselytizing approach.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrated integrity as role models for students.
  • Both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
