Job Overview:

The Customer Care Associate is essential in assisting and serving customers. Key responsibilities include general stocking tasks such as processing merchandise, building displays, and ensuring a safe and welcoming shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately operate a cash register for customer transactions.
  • Unload and unpack merchandise to maintain stock levels.
  • Construct and replenish displays while organizing merchandise on shelves.
  • Engage with customers and address their inquiries or concerns to foster a friendly, customer-focused atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Encourage customers to enjoy the benefits of Ace Rewards membership.
  • Follow all legal regulations regarding restricted sales.
Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of cash register operations.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to count accurately.
  • Effective collaboration with team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proactive in recognizing potential hazards and reporting them.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • At least 18 years of age to operate and clean motorized equipment.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to drive for company business per the BGC Business Driver Policy.
Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous use of close and distant vision, as well as depth perception.
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capacity to reach, handle, and touch objects.
  • Able to communicate effectively through speaking and listening.
  • Occasional lifting or pushing of items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Regular bending, kneeling, and squatting are required.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.
Work Environment:
  • Work primarily occurs in a retail store setting.
  • May experience varying temperatures in non-weather conditions (both heat and cold).
  • Potential exposure to slippery surfaces and cleaning agents.
  • Noise levels may range from quiet to moderate.
