Description:

I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICESTexas Department of Public Safety requires the services of 2 Support Technician 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Support Technician 3, Technical Services, Help Desk and Operations and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Department of Public Safety and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Department of Public Safety will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

The Support System Administrator will be responsible for supporting the migration and modernization of EOL systems, including legacy systems running older versions of Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux . The role will focus on upgrading these systems to supported OS versions (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, RHEL 5/6/7/8/9) to ensure improved security, performance, and operational continuity.

These positions may be as long as two years.II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Requirements:
