Title: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Tarrytown, NY (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full Time, (Onsite 5 Days/Week)
Compensation:
Pay Range: $85,000-$95,000 Per Year
Job Summary:
• The overall purpose of this position is to perform day-to-day responsibilities within the Human Resources Department.
• This position reports to the Employee Relations Manager.
Employee Relations:
• Investigate complaints or allegations regarding employee performance, conduct and adherence to (violation of) Company policy.
• Coach Managers regarding performance management, staff development and problem resolution.
• Responsible for drafting/delivering expectation memos and written warnings.
• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Prepare documentation of personnel issues/events in employee records.
• Prepare employee separation notices, termination letters and other related documentation.
• Responsible for carrying out terminations.
Performance Management:
• Correspond with all PSA's/Managers/Supervisors for employee reviews/evaluations each month and complete all incoming reviews
• Collaborate with managers to address performance issues and identify training and development opportunities
Other Responsibilities:
• Stay abreast of labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance with employment practices and mitigate legal risks.
• Partner with legal counsel as needed to address legal matters
• Responsible for responding to unemployment claims.
• Attends unemployment hearings in any of the office regions. Prepares testimony with managers to ensure successful participation at hearings and prepares statements/correspondence.
• Assist with various projects, as assigned.
• Handle adjustments and promotions for positions that are not being recruited for.
• File related documents into electronic personnel folders
