About the Role
A well-established company in the manufacturing/water-testing industry is seeking a Customer Support Advocate to provide customer service and order management support. This role interacts with customers via phone and email, processes orders in an ERP system, and collaborates with multiple internal departments. Key Responsibilities
Provide customer support by phone and email, including product guidance, issue resolution, order entry, and updates.
Process standard and specialized orders (sample orders, faxed orders, and private account management).
Communicate customer feedback to internal teams (sales, QA, technical, production, accounting, marketing).
Apply product knowledge to resolve customer concerns while following internal policies.
Maintain accuracy, documentation, and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Schedule & Work Environment
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday
Training: ~3-week onsite new-hire training period
Hybrid Model: After training, role requires one day onsite per week (additional days as needed for meetings or business needs).
Requires a quiet, dedicated home workspace.
Qualifications
2+ years of customer service experience.
Strong Microsoft 365 proficiency (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel).
Ability to type 50+ WPM.
Experience with ERP systems required.
Strong communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to remain professional and solution-focused during challenging interactions.
Chemistry background or related education is a plus (not required).
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Must reside within 50 miles of Sparks, MD.
High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
