This position serves as part of a statewide team supporting the work of the Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) to advance the efforts of prevention services across the state, and expand productive partnerships among the community, the State, and other stakeholders. This position will develop and sustain communication networks that best serve the identified region and represent DMHA locally and statewide. This position will imbed the five health pillars of leading, convening, training, disseminating, and partnering when implementing efforts.
Duties:
• Serve as a liaison between the county, regional and the state and other service agencies throughout the region.
• Facilitate the implementation of a state regional model of prevention within their assigned region and in collaboration with the DMHA.
• Sustain communication networks and platforms that best serve the county/region.
• Form strategic local and regional partnerships on behalf of DMHA to support regional prevention planning and implementation.
• Disseminate prevention information and resources throughout the designated region.
• Facilitate Client Consultation Boards and Regional Prevention Councils.
• Attend regular training on the regional prevention system and primary prevention.
• Attend regional system and DMHA meetings as needed.
This position requires regular travel through the designated region, as well as occasional travel to the DMHA state office.
This is a fully remote, contracted position. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a social service or health related field; master's degree preferred.
• Ability to coordinate programs, program planning, time management.
• Ability to develop written and oral reports and maintain accurate records.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting software.
• Experience working with groups and/or appreciation of group theory and practices.
• Valid driver's license.

• Experience with or knowledge of substance misuse prevention
• Experience in negotiations, contract management, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Ability to facilitate or train large group convenings with a technical support component to contractors, community and/or state stakeholders and the private sector
• Understanding of data; collection, analyzation, reporting
