The Senior Financial Planning Analyst plays a pivotal role within our client's Financial Accounting team. This position involves budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide business leaders in making informed decisions. Additionally, the Senior Financial Planning Analyst assists the Director of Financial Planning with reports, ad-hoc analysis, and special projects related to financial planning and expenses. The role offers flexibility, allowing for a hybrid and in-office presence. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $100,000 $130,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Apply financial and analytical skills to create insightful analyses and respond to various requests.
  
• Present findings and follow up with management to ensure proper resolution or accounting adjustments.
  
• Maintain detailed records documenting procedures, methodologies, sources of information, and assumptions during analytical tasks.
  
• Regularly review partnership accounting reports and source data, detecting inconsistencies or issues. Investigate potentially inappropriate expenditures using professional skepticism and judgment.
  

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of complex accounting principles in both cash and accrual accounting.
  
• Familiarity with accounting practices, procedures, and a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications.
  
• Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to comprehend and communicate data, analyze accounts, and reconcile financial information.
  

• Bachelor's degree accounting, business, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  
• 3+ years' of experience working with accounting practices and procedures.
  
• At least 1 year of experience in developing financial analysis and producing financial reports.
