We are seeking an experienced, licensed Loan Partner to work directly with a producing Loan Officer and take ownership of the loan process from lead to contract and through closing support.

This is not an administrative assistant role. This position is designed for someone who can structure loans, communicate confidently with clients, and convert leads into active, pre-approved buyers.

What This Role Is NOT

  • Not a document chaser or file cleaner
  • Not responsible for collecting underwriting conditions post-submission
  • Not a back-office-only position
You will be responsible for driving the front half of the loan and setting the file up for success.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound leads and guide clients through the initial mortgage process
• Complete full loan applications and run credit
• Run DU/AUS and review findings
• Price loans and structure scenarios based on borrower qualifications
• Issue pre-approvals and explain loan options clearly to clients
• Collect and review all upfront documentation (income, assets, etc.)
• Maintain consistent follow-up with clients while they are shopping
• Communicate with referral partners and set expectations for next steps
• Ensure files are complete and accurate before submitting to processing
• Request disclosures and ensure timely execution once under contract
• Lock loans and communicate with processing/disclosures as needed
• Monitor loan progress and maintain communication through closing

Qualifications

• Active NMLS license preferred (or ability to obtain quickly)
• 3+ years of mortgage experience (Loan Partner, LOA, or Loan Officer)
• Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA loan programs
• Experience running DU/AUS and structuring loans
• Ability to review income and basic qualifying documentation
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Highly organized with strong follow-up habits
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Experience in a broker environment is a plus
