Role Summary
The Intersect Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing and high-performing corporate accounting team. This position offers more than traditional GL responsibilities-providing exposure to analytical work, variance analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration.

This role will oversee key components of the month-end close process, review and guide the work of staff accountants, and support ongoing process improvements as the company moves toward future system upgrades. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and the work of staff accountants; provide guidance and feedback.
• Perform variance analysis and contribute to management-level reporting.
• Assist with policy updates, process improvements, and preparation for future systems implementation.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to resolve issues and support decision-making.
• Support internal and external audit requests; help maintain strong internal controls.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience, including full general ledger ownership.
• Experience reviewing the work of staff accountants (journal entries, reconciliations).
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a large, collaborative, fast-moving environment.
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred Skills

• CPA or active CPA track.
• Experience supporting multi-location or multi-market business units.
• Experience with MS Dynamics or other large ERP systems.
• Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
