As a Technical Content Editor, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Marketing department supporting the technical reporting and editorial standards. Job Title: Technical Content Editor | 6 months contract Location: 100% Remote | Will be required to work EST hours Pay Range: $30-$35/HR What's the Job? Line edit and proofread technical reports ranging from 75 to 400 pages in Microsoft Word, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Edit copy to enhance readability and clarity for diverse audiences including technical, general, and specialized groups. Format tables, graphics, captions, references, and appendices to meet style and accessibility standards. Create and maintain style sheets for each project, adhering to established style guides such as Chicago Manual of Style. Perform quality checks on PDF documents prior to publication, ensuring all materials meet editorial and technical standards. What's Needed? Proven experience in technical editing with strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent command of the English language, including rules of grammar, punctuation, and usage. Ability to interpret and edit technical information clearly and convincingly for various audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Word and Adobe Acrobat, with advanced formatting skills.
