This opportunity is with a well-established and growing structural steel fabrication and erection organization supporting complex commercial and industrial projects throughout Texas.
The company is seeking a Senior Project Manager who understands how structural steel projects actually get executed, not just tracked from a spreadsheet.
This role is responsible for leading multiple large-scale structural steel fabrication and erection projects simultaneously while helping drive operational consistency, project execution, customer communication, financial visibility, and team accountability across the business.

Strong performers in this organization tend to be hands-on leaders who can balance customer relationships, fabrication coordination, field execution, scheduling, financial oversight, and internal team leadership without losing sight of deadlines or operational realities.
What You'll Do
• Lead multiple structural steel fabrication and erection projects simultaneously
• Drive project schedules, execution timelines, and financial performance
• Coordinate fabrication activities, subcontractors, vendors, and field operations
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, reporting, and customer communication
• Oversee project setup, scheduling, manpower planning, and production coordination
• Negotiate and manage change orders
• Identify and mitigate project risks, scope issues, and execution bottlenecks
• Collaborate with internal operations, fabrication, field, and leadership teams to ensure alignment
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor progress against quality, safety, production, and financial objectives
• Help establish standardized project management processes, reporting structures, and operational consistency across projects
• Mentor and support Project Managers within the organization
• Drive accountability, communication, and execution across multiple concurrent projects
What We're Looking For
• 10+ years of construction project management experience within the structural steel industry
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection operations
• Experience managing multiple complex commercial and industrial projects simultaneously
• Proven ability to lead teams and operate effectively in fast-paced environments
• Strong financial, operational, scheduling, and forecasting capabilities
• Ability to manage customers, subcontractors, fabrication coordination, and field execution simultaneously
• Experience negotiating change orders and resolving project-related issues
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Experience with Tekla, FabSuite, or related steel fabrication/project management systems preferred
• PMP certification and OSHA certifications are considered a plus
