Job Details

Today, Western continues to grow with more than 80 employees fulfilling specialty functions such as engineering, quality, inspection, and production. We use proprietary technology to forge some of the hardest, most difficult alloys on the market into 100% quality-controlled flanges. Every product undergoes a rigorous, sophisticated monitoring and quality assurance program, from heat treatment to testing to the final inspection. Additionally, Western is in full compliance with outlined ASME, PED, ISO, and TSSA standards, a distinction held by only a handful of forging providers in the United States.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Performs any combination of tasks required to ship and/or receive material
• Read work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or shipped
• Assemble customer orders, verify the correct quantity, and marking
• Palletize and secure items to be shipped
• Oversee Shipping Department to ensure timely delivery of products
• Communicate with Shipping Clerk on daily delivery schedule
• Communicate with Vice President on any freight carrier issues
• Creating and maintaining shipping supplies list

Desired Requirements

• Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
• Must work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
• Operate equipment as necessary.

Desired Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of relevant shipping experience in manufacturing or fabrication companies
